Meet Carmen

It all started with a walk along the Mediterranean coast. I've always been drawn to the beauty of seashells — their shapes, their colors, the way light plays across their surfaces. One day, I picked up a handful of shells and thought: these deserve to become something more.

That was the beginning of Coral Lux. What started as a personal hobby quickly grew into a passion — and then into a craft that I pour my heart into every single day.

Today, I create one-of-a-kind sculptures, mirrors, frames, lamps, and decorative pieces from my small studio in Spain. Every piece is made entirely by hand, using natural shells, corals, pearls, and crystals that I collect myself.

No two pieces are alike — because no two shells are alike. And that's the beauty of it.

Collecting

I walk the Mediterranean coast, selecting shells, corals, sea glass, and natural treasures by hand. Each piece is chosen for its unique shape, color, and character.

Designing

Back in the studio, I clean and sort each shell, then plan the composition. Some pieces are sketched first; others emerge organically as shells find their place.

Crafting

Each shell is placed and secured individually by hand. A single sculpture can take days or weeks to complete — hundreds of tiny decisions that create a unified whole.
